Lendesca Acquires SBA Collective, Names Ray Drew Chief Revenue Officer
Lendesca has acquired SBA Collective, bringing the Boca Raton-based firm’s lender relationships and industry reach into the Lendesca platform. As part of the deal, SBA Collective founder Ray Drew joins Lendesca’s executive team as Chief Revenue Officer and takes an equity stake in the company.
Drew launched SBA Collective in early 2025 after a career built around 7(a) lending and developing lending programs for national financial institutions. At Lendesca, he’ll lead lender partnerships, referral channels, and business development as the company helps community and regional banks and credit unions build or expand their SBA lending programs.
“We arrived at the same conclusion from different directions,” said Chris Hurn, Founder & CEO of Lendesca. Lenders are stepping back from SBA lending as the operational demands increasingly outweigh the return, Hurn said, leaving the borrowers who need the program most without a path forward.
